UP Warriorz made some strategic buying in the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025, acquiring Kranti Goud and Arushi Goel at their base prices. UP Warriorz retained key players like captain Alyssa Healy, Deepti Sharma, and Sophie Ecclestone before the mini-auction in Bengaluru. However, they also roped in Australia's Alana to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season. Notably UP Warriorz won just three matches in the 2024 edition.

Despite finishing at the bottom of the table in the previous season, the UP Warriorz displayed promising performances. As they look ahead to the upcoming season, the team aims to qualify for the playoffs and ultimately contend for the WPL title.

UP Warriorz coach Jon Lewis was asked about the squad to which he said:

“We are very happy with our picks at the Auction. The UP Warriorz have of course maintained the core, and there is a healthy mix of the exuberance of youth and priceless experience, and now it’s all about coming together playing out our roles properly. I am looking forward to getting back with the team soon and begin preparations for the season."

Meanwhile, the COO of UP Warriorz Kshemal Waingankar said:
