Virat Kohli scored 240 runs in three match ODI series against New Zealand.

Battting great Virat Kohli has left his fans stunned after the former India captain deleted his Instagram without any further clarification. Notably, the 37-year-old batter was India's most followed athlete, and as of Friday, the profile, which boasted over 274 million followers, had completely vanished.

Fans learned about this in the early hours of Friday morning. Users attempting to access the handle @virat.kohli were met with the standard error messages: "This page isn't available" or "The link may be broken."

Kohli, who already retired from Tests and T20Is, recently featured in the three-match ODI series against New Zealand, where he flexed his stellar form, amassing 240 runs in three outings, including a century in the third clash. He finished the series as the second-highest run-getter after Daryl Mitchell.

Fans ask Anushka Sharma

After Kohli deactivated his account, some fans started commenting on his wife and Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma to ask about the batting great, “Bhaabhi, bhaiya ka account kahan gaya?”, roughly translating to “Where has brother’s account gone?”, flooding her comment sections with pleas for clarity.

Has Kohli deleted all social media accounts?

Virat Kohli is still active on other social media platforms. His X (formerly Twitter) account is working as usual, and there’s no sign that the Instagram issue has affected his cricketing commitments in any way. The 37-year-old recently returned to London after an impressive ODI series against New Zealand. He is expected to be back in action for the IPL 2026 season, where his franchise, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, will look to defend its title.
