A heated moment took place between Bangladesh pacer Nahid Rana and Australian skipper Josh Inglis during the first ODI game between two teams in Mirpur on Tuesday, June 9, The incident occurred after Rana removed Inglis and seemed to exchange a few words with the star Aussie player. Inglis was clearly unhappy with the send-off and responded aggressively, leading to a confrontation on the field.

The situation was eventually defused by the Bangladesh players, including skipper Mehidy Hasan Miraz. Bangladesh went on to claim a commanding 88-run win in the match.
Why did Nahid Rana and Josh Inglis clash?
The exchange between Nahid and Inglis took place during the 11th over of the second innings. On the very first delivery of the over, the Bangladesh pacer removed the Australian captain, who edged a ball travelling to wicketkeeper Litton Das. As Inglis started to walk back towards the dressing room, Rana appeared to say something to him, triggering the heated exchange between the two players.

The Australian skipper initially responded while walking back, but after seemingly another comment, he turned around and marched back towards the pacer. The situation got serious after fielders stepped in to calm down the situation. Bangladesh's captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz was also seen intervening, guiding Inglis away from the scene and helping calm tensions.
Australia's underwhelming batting performance
While chasing 278, Australia showcased a poor display of batting. Opener Matthew Short got dismissed on a golden duck off Taskin Ahmed's bowling. While Cooper Connolly got off to a decent start, as he scored 35 off 50 runs before getting out. After Connoly's wicket, Australia saw two quick wickets falling with Marnus Labuschagne getting out on 1 off 6 off Mustafizur Rahman. On the other hand, Josh Inglis failed to score a big knock after getting a good start, as he managed only 19 runs off 25 balls.
Alex Carey and Cameron Green tried to keep Australia alive in the chase, with their fighting knocks of 47 off 62 and unbeaten 52 off 66 respectively, but it was too late. Pacer Nahid Rana was the best bowler for Bangladesh as he finished the game with 4/41 to dismantle Australia's batting attack.
