Former India captain Virat Kohli turned 36 on Tuesday, November 5. A video is going viral on social media where Kohli was saying that this was his most chilled-out birthday in all these years. The modern-day great celebrated his birth anniversary with his wife Anushka Sharma and kids daughter Vamika and son Akaay at his home. 

At an HSBC event in Mumbai, host Gaurav Kapoor asked Kohli about his birthday where the star cricketer said that the birthday was for his kids. 

"But yeah, probably the most chilled out birthday I have had in all these years - just with Anushka and our two kids at home. It was very relaxed and basically the birthday was for my daughter and son. It happens so when you have kids."

 

 

Virat Kohli's cheeky response on whether he is wiser having turned another year older. 

"Wiser toh pata nahi, older for sure. (Not sure about wiser...)"

Virat Kohli is currently struggling with poor form. He had a poor Test series against New Zealand. In six innings he only managed to score 93 runs at an average of 15.50. In 2024, Kohli featured in six Test matches where he scored 250 runs at an average of 22.72 with just one half-century.

Virat Kohli is currently preparing for the upcoming five-Test match series (Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25) against Australia which is scheduled to start from November 22. He will be the vital cog for Rohit Sharma-led side considering his experience and past performances in Australian conditions. 

 

Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 schedule


The first Test of the five match series between India and Australia will be held in Perth from November 22 to 26. The second Test, a Day/Night match, will take place at Adelaide Oval from December 6 to 10. The third Test is scheduled for The Gabba in Brisbane from December 14 to 18, followed by the fourth Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground from December 26 to 30. The series will wrap up with the fifth and final Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground from January 3 to 7.
