Former India captain Virat Kohli has travelled back to London after featuring in the two-Test match series against Bangladesh. Kohli was spotted at the Airport after India registered the dominating seven-wicket win in Kanpur on Monday. The 35-year-old failed to perform in the first Test match where he just scored 23 runs in two innings at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
However, he made a comeback in the second Test by scoring 47 in the first inning and 29 not out in the second inning at Green Park Stadium Kanpur.

Virat Kohli's record in Bangladesh Test
Kohli became the fourth batter after Sachin Tendulkar, Ricky Ponting and Kumar Sangakkara to score 27000 runs in his international cricketing career. He became the fastest batter to reach this milestone. Kohli took 594 innings to reach this milestone 29 innings faster than Tendulkar, who got there in in 623 innings in 2007. Sri Lankan Sangakkara achieved the mark in 2015 in his 648th innings while Ponting scaled the mark in his 650th outing for Australia. Kohli also surpassed the record of Cheteshwar Pujara by becoming the Indian batter with most runs against Bangladesh.

Kohli will now most likely to feature for India in the upcoming three Test match series against New Zealand which is scheduled to start from 16 October to 5 November. After that he will travel to Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024 where India are scheduled to play five Test match series starting from November 22.
