International Cricket Council (ICC) chairman Jay Shah jotted down a moving statement after the legendary batter Cheteshwar Pujara announced his retirement across all formats of Indian Cricket. The Test great hung up his boots on August 24 after getting ignored by selectors for 2 years.
Former BCCI secretary Jay Shah, who is currently serving as ICC Chairman, took his 'X' formerly known as Twitter to pen down a heartfelt tribute to the Test legend.
"Congratulations on an outstanding career @cheteshwar1! Your patience against pace and your skill against spin helped India to a golden era in Test cricket. Your courage and tenacity in the famous chase in Brisbane will be remembered for years to come! Wishing you the very best for the future," Jay Shah posted.
