ICC announces Women’s Champions Trophy in 2027: India to host 6-team tournament

The inaugural ICC Women's Champions Trophy is scheduled to take place from February 14 to February 28, 2027. The participating nations include Australia, England, India, New Zealand, South Africa, and Sri Lanka. Originally planned to be hosted by Sri Lanka, the tournament's hosting rights have shifted to India after Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) underwent reforms required by the ICC. Matches will be held at two prominent cricket venues: the Cricket Club of India in Mumbai and the Vadodara International Cricket Stadium in Vadodara. Notably, Pakistan did not qualify, meaning no India-Pakistan encounter will take place in this event.
