PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi defends dropping seven players ahead of ENG vs PAK 3rd Test

Chairman Mohsin Naqvi defended this move by attributing it to the players' poor performances. He emphasized that the board was left with no other viable option and viewed these changes as necessary to improve the team's future prospects.

Naqvi acknowledged that while the team is struggling, the issues go beyond individual performance. He pointed out that similar challenges have been faced by other top cricketing nations such as India and South Africa, highlighting that losing matches is part of the game’s landscape. He also indicated that external factors contribute to the team's current difficulties.

Furthermore, Naqvi criticized some former cricketers for their harsh criticism of the team, suggesting that they lack the accomplishments necessary to judge the ongoing selection decisions effectively. Despite already conceding the series, Pakistan aims to regroup and perform strongly in the upcoming third test match scheduled for September 9th at Edgbaston.
