India batting great Virat Kohli is set to represent Delhi in a few games of the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy, and this is the first time after more than a decade that the chase-master will feature in India's one-day domestic competition. After leaving India after the three-match ODI series, Kohli returned on Saturday, December 13.
Sports Tak was the first to confirm that Kohli will participate in the 50-over domestic tournament, and the DDCA also confirmed his availability a few days ago.
Delhi's VHT schedule
Delhi will start their Vijay Hazare Trophy campaign against Andhra Pradesh on December 24 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. In a recent development, the Karnataka State Cricket Association has shifted Delhi’s games from Alur to the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Kohli's last List A outing
Kohli last played a List-A game in the Indian domestic circuit 12 years ago, turning out for Delhi against India Blue in the NKP Salve Challenger Trophy at the Holkar Stadium in Indore.
Kohli is now all set to represent his home team, Delhi, in a domestic List-A tournament after a long gap. After the Andhra game, Delhi will face Gujarat on December 26.
Virat Kohli's outing for Delhi in VHT
Virat Kohli will play a series of matches for Delhi in the 2025-26 Vijay Hazare Trophy, starting with a clash against Saurashtra on December 29, followed by games against Odisha on December 31 and Services on January 3. All of these matches will take place in Bengaluru.
Kohli’s time with Delhi in the tournament will wrap up with the match against Services on January 3, as he’s set to join India’s squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against New Zealand, which is scheduled to start from January 11. The first ODI will be played at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara.

He will be hoping to reach that milestone in Delhi’s first game against Andhra.
