Pujara, playing for Saurashtra, struck his 35th List A half-century as he struck a gritty 114-ball 55. However, his efforts went in vain as Saurashtra crumbled to a paltry 144 against Mumbai. Meanwhile, Rahane's Mumbai raced to 150/5 in 34.4 overs, securing a five-wicket victory over Saurashtra at the Alur grounds. Despite Rahane's dismissal for 12, Mumbai's middle order, led by Shardul Thakur's unbeaten 39 and wicketkeeper-batter Prasad Pawar's unbeaten 43, steered the team to victory. Thakur, known for his all-round abilities, also impressed with the ball, taking 2 for 37 from his eight overs, a crucial contribution to Mumbai's bowling attack.

Padikkal's Ton Guides Karnataka to Victory

Devdutt Padikkal marked his selection to the India 'A' squad for the upcoming tour of South Africa with a scintillating century, laying the groundwork for Karnataka's 22-run victory over Chandigarh in a Group C match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy in Ahmedabad.

Padikkal's 103-ball 114 and Nikin Jose's 114-ball 96 propelled Karnataka to a commanding total of 299 for 6, with skipper Manish Pandey adding an unbeaten 53 off 48 balls.

Opener Arslan Khan's gritty century (102 off 103 balls) and Ankit Kaushik's 51 kept Chandigarh in the chase for a while, but they eventually fell short, reaching 277 for 7 in their allotted 50 overs.

Punjab upset Star-Studded Tamil Nadu

Mandeep Singh's 68 and Prabhsimran Singh's 58 helped Punjab pull off an upset victory over Tamil Nadu by 76 runs in their Group E clash at the BKC grounds in Mumbai.

Punjab posted a competitive total of 251 all out in 45.2 overs, and then went on to dismantle a strong Tamil Nadu batting line-up for 175 all out in the 35th over. Veteran Dinesh Karthik top-scored for Tamil Nadu with an 82-ball 93. However, it was pacer Siddharth Kaul who stole the show with a brilliant spell of 5 for 50, derailing Tamil Nadu's chase.
