The arch-rivals India and Pakistan have successfully qualified for the semi-finals of the ongoing edition of the Women's Asia Cup 2024. Harmanpreet Kaur-led Indian women's cricket team remained unbeaten in the group stage with wins over Pakistan, UAE, and Nepal respectively. They will be heading to the next stage of the tournament high on confidence and in great form.
Pakistan beat UAE by 10 wickets
The Women in Green put on a dominant performance in their final group game as they picked up a thumping 10-wicket win against UAE. Bowling first, Pakistan restricted UAE to a paltry score of 103/8 and then banking on Gull Feroza's unbeaten half-century. She later also won the Player of the Match award for her astonishing knock. Pakistan chased down the target without losing a wicket this was really crucial for their morale as they were in a tricky spot after losing the opening game against arch-rivals India.

India remain unbeaten
Indian women's cricket team once again showed how dominant they are currently after defeating Nepal by a massive margin of 82 runs in their final group game. They will finish on top of their table and would face the runner-up of the other group in the semi-final. Harmanpreet Kaur was not playing in the match, so Smriti Mandhana played the leadership role.
The Women in Blue batted first and posted a good total of 178/3 in 20 overs. Shafali Verma was once again the star performer with the bat as she scored an amazing knock of 81 runs off just 48 balls. After her knock, Jemimah Rodrigues provided the team with a blitz finish as she scored 28 runs off 15 balls.
Then the defending champions were absolutely dominant with the ball as well. They restricted Nepal to 96/9 in 20 overs to win the match by a huge margin. Deepti Sharm was once again the pick of the bowlers as she grabbed three wickets in her four-over spell and only gave away 13 runs. Arundhati Reddy and Radha Yadav got two wickets each. Meanwhile, Renuka Thakur Singh got one.
