PAK-W vs SCO-W: Pakistan suffer another setback ahead of India clash, lose to Scotland in warm-up

Pakistan's preparations for the 2026 ICC Women's T20 World Cup faced another blow as they claimed another defeat in their second and final warm-up match. Scotland surprised the Women in Green by 41 runs via the DLS method in a rain-affected clash at the County Ground in Derby on Tuesday, in their last practice game before the start of the tournament.

Scotland's skipper Kathyrn Bryce then took over the charge with her astonishing knock of 94 runs of just 43 balls, guiding her team to an imposing total of 191/5 at the end of 20 overs. Her explosive knock consisted 11 boundaries and three sixes, putting Pakistan on the backfoot.

Poor batting performance from Pakistan

In the second innings, Pakistan's chase got off to a disastrous start as they lost three wickets inside the first five overs, including Gull Feroza, Saira Jabeen, and Ayesha Zafar. Their troubles deepened quickly, with half of the side dismissed by ninth over. Scotland pacer Rachel Slater played a pivotal role in the collapse. clinching two wickets in her two-over spell.

Pakistan were struggling at 62/5 after nine overs when rain interrupted the game, and the match could not resume. With the Women in Green well behind the required run0rate and only five wickets in hand, Scotland were awarded a 41-run win via the DLS method.
