While the craze of FIFA World Cup 2022 has been tremendous thanks to the amazing display from some of the lower-ranked sides, the Qatar World Cup has been in news for quite some time. Right from controversies to getting the tag for the most expensive World Cup in FIFA's history, the World Cup has garnered a lot of fan following in the World. Talking about money, football has always been a game with a lot of panache and has attracted players full of flare. The strong money game has meant that footballer has become a lot more skeptical about their body and an ideology of insuring their body part has become prominent. What started as an astonishing thing has now become a routine among the top players.

For footballers, though the most crucial part is their foot and we may wonder that the only part they insure would be their foot but like Gabbar said - 'Ye hath Mujhe Dede Thakur,' The statement could be true for some of the priced hands like Manuel Neuer and Iker Casillas.

1- Lionel Messi

Anything to do with football needs to have the name of Lionel Messi in it and this case is no different. While the Argentinian legend and Paris Saint-Germain F.C. player has his left leg insured for $900,000,000. While you may have ignored counting the number of zeros, we won't blame you because yes that's an astonishing number.

2- David Beckham

'Nobody can bend it like Beckham' is a famous saying in not just England but everywhere around the globe. In 2006 Beckham decided to insure both his legs for $195 million! He was one of the initial players to have started the process of insuring their body parts and it isn't a surprise considering he has always been the trendsetter. If a man can look smarter than the groom on his wedding day and considering the groom was Prince Harry, Beckham can surely impact the insurance market as well

3- Cristiano Ronaldo

Maderia, Manchester, Turin, and Manchester again, the Portuguese star has been all around the globe. Considering his global stardom it would be safe to say that him insuring his legs is a must. Back in 2009 while he was playing for Real Madrid F.C. they decided to insure his leg for $144 million.

4- Gareth Bale

'Wales - Goal - Madrid in that order.' may have been his mantra when he became out of favour at Real Madrid but the Welsh striker surely prioritised his legs for good. With the kind of speed, agility, and performance the former Real Madrid player produces it would be an injustice if his legs weren't insured. Bale has his left leg insured for $126 million.

5- Iker Casillas

The 2010 World Cup-winning captain is first on the list of goalkeepers to have insured his hands. The star also has a champions league title to his name and before he even won all those trophies he decided to insure the most priced possession he had. Back in 2007, he insured his hands for $10 million.

6- Manuel Neuer

From one World Cup winner to another and one Keeping legend to other, we switch to Manuel Neuer. The Bayern Munich goalkeeper is last on the list of footballers who have insured their body parts. His hands have been insured for $3.5 million. While some of the numbers are astonishing, the list carries some of the notable names to have graced the footballing pitch and the numbers may look huge as a single entity but when you associate the footballer's name to it, they seem to be doing just fine.
