Bradley Barcola slotted home the second goal shortly after the break, putting the result beyond doubt. Sweden started brightly and pinned France back in the opening 20 minutes, but Les Bleus gradually took control and showcased their attacking depth, with contributors including Michael Olise providing key support.

The French defence remained solid throughout to keep a clean sheet. The win sets up a last-16 clash for France against Paraguay on July 5. With their blend of star quality and squad strength, Didier Deschamps’ side will now be viewed as serious contenders for a third World Cup title.
