It seems that Pep Guardiola is feeling helpless at this point of time as Manchester City's manager, because nothing is working in the favour of the English club. Ahead of the EFL Cup final against Arsenal, the Cityzens have suffered a big blow, which could hamper their campaign.
Big blow for Manchester City
In the pre-game press conference, Pep Guardiola dropped a hint that James Trafford could start the EFL Cup final instead of Gianluigi Donnarumma on Sunday.
"Players can be happy, unhappy. It is what it is. They have to be here to do the best they can do and after we will see what happens at the end of the season. The important thing is they have to be ready," he said.
Tough time for Donnarumma
Lately, Donnarumma struggled a lot with his goalkeeping as he was seen making basic errors in the first leg against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie, where Fede Valverde shined with a spectacular first-half hat-trick.
In the second leg, Manchester City managed to score one goal but it was not enough as Real Madrid scored twice and lost 5-2 on aggregate and faced elimination from the tournament.
