Manchester United stars Bruno Fernandes and Harry Maguire have reacted on social media following Marcus Rashford winning his first trophy with Barcelona. The English winger came off the bench in the Spanish Super Cup final as the Catalan side defeated Real Madrid in Saudi Arabia.

Marcus Rashford's open up on winning first title with Barcelona

Rashford talked with the media soon after the game ended, saying it was a surreal feeling to win his first piece with Barcelona. He added they still have a lot to improve and said:

"I am very happy today. It's the first trophy [with Barça] and it's always the best feeling to win the first one. I hope now we can win some more. I hope it's not the last one. It was a top performance. This is what we're capable of doing. There are still areas to improve, but we can enjoy this moment today."

"It's really good [being at the club]. When we win, it makes it so much easier. Throughout the season, even in moments when we have not played so well, we stick together and act as a team. For me, it's perfect and I am really enjoying my time here."

The Englishman took to social media soon after, sharing photos with the trophy and captioning it: "SUPER CUP CHAMPIONS What a way to start the year!!"

Rashford receives wishes from Bruno Fernandes

The Manchester United loanee saw Fernandes and Maguire among those reacting to post, with the Red Devils skipper commenting:
"Congratulations my brother" and the English defender adding "Love it mate".

Rashford left Manchester United for Barcelona on a season-long loan at the start of the season after a clash with then-manager Ruben Amorim in 2024.

Marcus Rashford wants to continue at Barcelona over Manchester United comeback

Marcus Rashford interacted with the Spanish media in December, confirming that he wants to continue at Barcelona following the loan spell ends. He is working hard to earn a permanent move to the Catalan club and said:

"Of course what I want is to stay at Barca. It's an end goal, but it's not the reason why I'm training hard and giving it my best. The purpose is to win. Barca is a huge, fantastic club, built to win titles."

Barcelona have a €30 million option to sign Rashford on a permanent transfer at the end of the season. However, the club have insisted that they have not taken a call on the Manchester United loanee.
