Story Highlights:

Cristiano Ronaldo can equal Abderrazak Hamdallah’s Al-Nassr foreign goalscoring record with a goal against Al-Hilal.

The Al-Nassr captain leads the Saudi Pro League scoring charts with 14 goals this season.

Al-Nassr skipper Cristiano Ronaldo is on the verge of becoming the club's most prolific foreign goal scorer. The 40-year-old has amassed 114 goals across competitions since arriving on free transfer in December 2022.

Big feat for Cristiano Ronaldo

In the top-of-the-table clash at Saudi Pro League leaders Al-Hilal on Tuesday, January 12, Ronaldo will go level with Moroccan Abderrazak Hamdallah, who scored 115 goals in 109 games between 2018 and 2021, if he scores once.

Ronaldo is coming into the game with the league leaders in decent form, scoring in all two of the Knights of Najd's 13 league games. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner leads the division's scoring charts with 14 goals, one clear of his compatriot and club teammate Joao Felix.

In his last league game, Ronaldo scored in the 2-1 home loss against Al-Qadsiah at the weekend. The defeat marked Jorge Jesus' side's third consecutive winless fixture - second straight loss - since kicking off the season with a 10-0 record.

While he is yet to face Al-Hilal this season, Ronaldo has recorded braces against Al-Riyadh, Al-Fayha and Al-Okhdood - all at home. Overall, the Portugal icon has scored five goals in 10 competitive games against Al-Hilal. Two of those goals have come in five league games, with both goals coming in a 3-1 away win last season.

Cristiano Ronaldo's average season with Al-Nassr

Cristiano Ronaldo has had an average season with Al-Nassr, his third full campaign with the Saudi Pro League side since arriving on a free transfer in December 2022.

In 17 games across all competitions, the 40-year-old has scored 15 goals and three assists. That includes 14 goals in 13 matches in the Saudi top flight, where Jorge Jesus' side are second after topping the league for most of the season.

Ronaldo has scored in all but two league games, with his last goal coming in the 2-1 loss at Al-Qadisiyah. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner's other goal this campaign has come in two games in the Saudi Super Cup, where the Knights of Najd lost to Al-Ahli on penalties.
