Manchester City is facing an uphill battle in the English Premier League title race, with Arsenal almost confirmed to win it. However, it's not over until it's really over in football. With just days remaining in the 2025-26 Premier League season, City’s hopes of securing a record-extending title are hanging by a thread as Arsenal maintains a commanding lead at the summit.

Can Man City still win Premier League as Arsenal just one win away from title?

Arsenal sit on 82 points from 37 matches, while the Sky Blues trail with 77 points from 36 games. Pep Guardiola’s side must win their two remaining fixtures and hope Arsenal slips up on the final day to have any chance of lifting the trophy.

City’s path requires maximum points from Tuesday’s trip to Bournemouth and a home clash against Aston Villa on May 24, which might be the last match for Guardiola as their head coach. Even then, they would reach 83 points, meaning Mikel Arteta’s side would need to fail to win at Crystal Palace to open the door.

Goal difference is currently tied at +43, with City holding a slight edge in goals scored, but the Gunners’ superior position gives them control of their destiny. Analysts and fans largely view City’s chances as slim given Arsenal’s strong recent form and the difficulty of overhauling a five-point gap with limited games left.

However, Guardiola’s side has shown resilience throughout the campaign. A slip by Arteta’s team, combined with two emphatic City victories, could spark one of the most dramatic finishes in Premier League history. For now, the title remains Arsenal’s to lose as the season reaches its climax.
