Sadio Mane became the third player from Al-Nassr in as many Saudi Super Cup editions to receive a red card, but his goal in the early minutes of the game and second-half goal from new addition Joao Felix sealed a 2-1 win against Al-Ittihad in a tough semifinal on Tuesday.
Mane produced the first goal in the 10th minute with a perfect volley after a cross from Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.
However, Mane received a red card in the 25th minute for a reckless challenge on Al-Ittihad goalkeeper Hamed Al-Shanqiti, confirmed after a VAR review.
Al-Ittihad's winger Steven Berwijin scored an equaliser in the 16th minute finishing off a smooth counter-attack.
Cristiano Ronaldo helps Joao Felix to score first goal for Al-Nassr
Despite being restricted to 10 men, Al-Nassr regained the lead in the 61st minute when Felix, who joined the side this summer, scored off a through pass from Cristiano Ronaldo.
Few moments later, Felix thought he scored a second goal too, but his shot was ruled out by VAR for Ronaldo's foul on Fabinho in the build up.
Al-Nassr reached the final, where it will lock horns with the winner of the second semi final between Al-Qadisiah and Al-Ahli on Wednesday.
