Sesko has scored six goals in his last seven league appearances.

The Slovenian striker has registered eight goals and one assist in 24 matches across competitions this season for Manchester United.

Benjamin Sesko arrived at Manchester United from RB Leipzig for a massive transfer fee of €76.5 million, but found it tough to get an easy environment around himself. However, from the last few games, he has been looking good and scoring continuous goals. Former player Gary Lineker has pointed out a major factor which led Benjamin Sesko back on track.

Benjamin Sesko's rise in Manchester United

Gary Linekar believes that the negative environment when Ruben Amorim was working as Manchester United's manager was the key reason behind Benjamin Sesko's struggles at Old Trafford.

In an interaction with The Rest is Football podcast, Lineker said that Sesko seems comfortable in the lineup.

“Even Sesko, when he came on the last few games, he’s starting to look like a bit of a player here,” Lineker said. “He’s quick, he gets behind teams, he’s a big lad. Obviously, he’s good in the air. So, you know, it’s taken him time to settle, but that’s probably the Amorim situation as well, which is all over the shop. Everyone was struggling for form," said Sesko.

Since Michael Carrick's arrival as interim manager, Sesko found some success for Manchester United even though he played majorly as a substitute.

While coming off the bench Sesko created instant impact, as he scored six goals in his last seven league fixtures. Recently he scored a fantastic winner in Manchester United's gritty 1-0 win over Everton.
