Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his four-day visit on Monday to Oman, Ethiopia, and Jordan to discuss bilateral ties. On the other hand, Messi’s final day of his GOAT India Tour to New Delhi was also scheduled for the same day.
As per reports, Messi, the former FC Barcelona superstar’s flight from Mumbai delayed by almost two hours due to fog and bad weather. A 21-minute protocol was planned for the football legend’s meeting with the PM, as per reports.
Meanwhile, the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner is set to meet Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, and the Chief Justice of India Surya Kant.
Messi, the 2022 World Cup winner, will conclude his three-day tour in the capital of India. He began his celebrated tour in Kolkata, followed by his visit to Hyderabad to Mumbai, before he landed in New Delhi.
