Kevin De Bruyne emerged as the matchwinner for Manchester City on Friday in the game against Wolverhampton. KDB scored the lone strike of the match to add three crucial points to Pep Guardiola's side. The performance once again highlights the fact that the veteran midfielder still has what it takes to shine in the Premier League. Unfortunately, De Bruyne will culminate his stint with City following the expiration of his contract.

Kevin De Bruyne Wins the Game for Man City
In his penultimate game at the Etihad Stadium, Kevin De Bruyne did what he has done on numerous occasions in the last decade, i.e., bailing Man City out of a tricky contest. The Belgian scored in the 35th minute to put his side in front, and City were able to keep the lead intact till the full-time whistle. The win has taken City to 3rd spot in the Premier League table, further solidifying chances of a UCL qualification in a season which is defined as disastrous.

KDB Still Displaying Brilliance
Following the conclusion of the game, Kevin De Bruyne once again addressed his situation and made it known that he still possesses the quality to play at the top level.
"I showed I can still play here (in the Premier League) otherwise I don't do what I have done in these last four or five weeks,' he said shortly after the Wolves clash.
"Obviously, I know I've got one game left here (at the Etihad) but I just try to do my job like I've always done and I did that today, so I am proud of what I am doing. I give everything and I want to win the game."
While many knowers of the game have shown no mercy in calling Kevin De Bruyne a washed-up product, the 32-year-old continues to silence the detractors with his on-field performance. There still lies an elite-quality footballer in there and it should be just a matter of time before interest from different clubs begins to pour in for his services.
