The Reds are 4th in the league, while the Gunners stay 14 points clear on top of the table. Arne Slot’s side is coming off a 2-2 draw against Fulham in their most recent match. They have lost only two games in the last 13 league and cup games. 

Liverpool is just one point ahead of fifth-placed Brentford, while Arsenal has a chance to move eight points clear of second-placed Manchester City. In their most recent encounter, the Reds were able to defeat Arteta’s side 1-0 at Anfield, all thanks to Dominik Szoboszlai's stunning free-kick. Liverpool injury report: Latest on Arne Slot’s PL clash vs Arsenal

Mohamed Salah, Alexander Isak, Wataru Endo, Joe Gomez, and Hugo Ekitike (doubt) have been sidelined for Liverpool’s Week 21 clash against Arsenal on Thursday, January 8 (Friday, January 9, IST, 2026.  

Salah is not injured, but won't be available for the match against Arteta’s side because he is participating in AFCON. Isak has been ruled out due to an ankle injury, and his return is unknown. Endo won't be available due to a knock and will return in early January. 

Gomez has been ruled out following a hamstring injury and is slated to return in early January. Additionally, Ekitike is also recovering from a hamstring injury but might play against Arsenal.
