Bruno Fernandes has been a loyal servant for Manchester United since he arrived at the club in 2020. Especially this season, he has been going through the best form of his life for the Red Devils, as he is continuously contributing in the attack with goals and assists. But with his age being an issue, his future does not look long enough.
Bruno Fernandes to leave Manchester United?
As per a recent report from Daily Mail, Manchester United are looking for a perfect player to replace Fernandes in the midfield. The Red Devils have identified Nottingham Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White as an ideal player to replace the Portuguese if he decides to leave in the summer.
Nottingham Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White has a £60 million release clause in his contract, and the Red Devils are quite interested in activating it.
This development took place just after Fernandes revealed that the club were aiming to sell him. The Portuguese midfielder said that he was prepared dto leave the club, but stayed anyway.
"I was going to leave a season ago, I would have won many trophies this season, but I decided not to go, not only for family reasons but because I genuinely love the club. From the club I felt it was, 'If you go it's not so bad for us'. It hurts me a bit. More than hurting me, it makes me sad. I'm a player that no one can criticise, I'm always available, I always give my best," said Bruno.
He also added that massive offers from Saudi Clubs were on the table, but money was not the priority for him. He said that if he ever leaves the club it would be for a change in the lifestyle.
"I don't see it as a matter of money. Financially I can't complain, although the difference with Saudi Arabia is massive. If I ever go to play in Saudi Arabia, I will, it won't be for the money, I'll go because the lifestyle will change, my children's lives will be sunny, after six years of cold and rain in Manchester, because I'll be playing in a league that's growing," Bruno added.
