Real Madrid icon Roberto Carlos has issued a warning to Cristiano Ronaldo not to think about ending his professional football career anytime soon. The Al-Nassr man is now 41 years old and is surely in the twilight of his iconic playing career.

Roberto Carlos sends advice to Cristiano Ronaldo

Carlos sent a message to Ronaldo on O Jogo, telling him that he wants to have a word with the Portuguese  star if he announces his retirement from professional football. The Brazilian noted that many young players take inspiration from Cristiano Ronaldo to play well.

“Cristiano can't stop, ever. If he ever decides to stop playing, I'll call him and tell him not to stop. He's one of those players who represent a lot, both for clubs and for the national team, for children, for younger players. He should never stop playing football, even if it's just with one leg or crawling. He transmits a lot of strength and energy to any boy who wants to start", he said (via GOAL).

 

 

Roberto Carlos was one of the Galacticos during his stint at Real Madrid playing with  the likes of Raul, Ronaldo Nazario, Zinedine Zidane, and David Beckham. They played for the club just before Cristiano Ronaldo moved to the club in 2009 to commence another Galacticos cycle.

The Al-Nassr player has enjoyed an eventful and iconic career so far, playing for the likes of Manchester United and Juventus, and is now on the books of Saudi giants Al-Nassr. The Portugal international penned a deal with the Saudi club until 2027, and will remain active until then, at least.

Real Madrid midfielder supports Mbappe to surpass Cristiano Ronaldo

Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni has backed Kylian Mbappe to surpass the records of Cristiano Ronaldo. The Frenchman was on target for his side to claim a 2-0 win against Valencia in LaLiga on Sunday.

Tchouameni interacted with reporters after the game and was questioned whether he thinks that his teammate has what it takes to surpass Ronaldo. The Frenchman reacted with optimism, saying that he thinks so, and that he is happy to be playing along with Mbappe.

“Can Mbappé surpass Cristiano Ronaldo? OF COURSE I think he can. It’s a pleasure playing with him", he said (via @MadridXtra on X).

 

 

Kylian Mbappe overtook Ronaldo's record for most goals before the knockout stages of a single UEFA Champions League campaign earlier this season. The 27-year-old has become his side's talisman since his arrival in the summer of 2024, and will have his eyes on Ronaldo's achievements.
