Ivan Toney has been charged with assault after an encounter at a nightclub in London last year, and the Saudi Pro League player is preparing for court. The incident reportedly happened in December 2025 at a nightclub on Wardour Street in Soho, London.

The Al-Ahly player was charged on July 31st and will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Thursday, 24th September. According to a spokesperson for Toney:
"Ivan acknowledges the charge and although he is naturally shocked, he looks forward to being given the opportunity to clear his name in court."
According to reports, Toney was approached by a man to take a photo with him and grabbed the player around the neck or shoulder. Later, the English striker, as per the reports, headbutted him after repeatedly telling him to get off. The investigation is still ongoing.
Ivan was featured in the recently concluded FIFA World Cup and played against France and Argentina. The striker is set to appear in court next month, as per a report by The Sun. It will be just two days after England plays Spain in the Nations League tie.
