Tiger Shroff set for professional football debut in Durand Cup with Mumbay FC

In a series of extraordinary events, star Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff is all set to make his debut in professional football, as he has been included in Mumbay FC's squad for the upcoming Durand Cup. Shroff has been registered with the club and is currently participating in the training sessions with the entire team, which is confirmed by the co-owner Zoheb Amrani. 

Big turn in Tiger Shroff's career

In an interaction with Sportstar, the Mumbay FC co-owner confirmed that the Heropanti star is registered with the side and the club is trying their best to arrange top-notch security to avoid the chaos, as people can gather around him in tier-2, tier-3 cities.

"He's registered with the squad, and we are trying our best to arrange everything. A person like Tiger, we'll need a lot of security in tier-2, tier-3 cities. People can gather around, and it could be chaotic," said Zoheb.

While continuing, Zoheb revealed that they have arranged a date for Tiger and if everything goes as planned then he could make his professional debut in one of the games.

"And since social media is so ruthless, things can actually escalate. Keeping that in mind, we've got a date from him. If everything goes well, he will definitely travel for one of the games. He's training with the team at the moment," added Zoheb.

How Tiger Shroff got involved in football?

Since the club was established in 2024, Shroff has stayed connected with Mumbay FC and has been playing regularly for the side in the Mumbai District League. More than just having a celebrity status to the club, he has played a big role in the club's journey and growth.

Mumbay FC's Durand Cup fixtures

Mumbay FC will open their campaign in Durand Cup at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong. The club will face Langsning SC on August 3, before locking horns against Shilong Lajong on August 8 and Nongkseh SS & CC on August 11.
