After thrashing the Cityzens 3-0 at the Santiago Bernabeau in the first leg, Fede Valverde and co. silenced the Etihad Stadium with a 2-1 win at the second leg.

The second leg began on a horrific not for Manchester City, as not only was Bernardo Silva sent off due to a hand ball in the opponent box, but also because Real Madrid got awarded with a penalty just 22 minutes into the match, Vinicius Jr made no mistake and slotted the ball home to give the visitors all important lead.

This goal made it 5-1 on aggregate, as Madrid moved into the quarterfinals with a convincing performance.
