The emotional moment marked the first meeting between the two clubs at Molineux since Jota's tragic death in a car crash in Spain in July 2025. The Portuguese forward, who played for both teams during his career in England, perished alongside his brother André Silva in the accident near Zamora, which was reportedly caused by a tyre blowout during an overtaking manoeuvre.
