Global pop superstar Shakira and Afrobeats icon Burna Boy have recorded “Dai Dai,” the official song for the FIFA World Cup 2026, FIFA and the artists announced Friday. The track is scheduled for release on May 14, just over a year before the tournament kicks off across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The collaboration pairs two of the world’s most influential crossover artists for soccer’s biggest stage. Shakira previously delivered one of the most successful World Cup anthems with “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)” for the 2010 tournament in South Africa.
Burna Boy, a Grammy-winning Nigerian star known for blending Afrobeats, dancehall, and reggae, brings contemporary African energy to the project. Both artists promise vibrant, high-energy performances to capture the multicultural spirit of the 2026 edition.
