Will Raphinha stay at FC Barcelona? Head coach Hansi Flick responds amid transfer rumors
Flick said:
“Rapha is one of the most important players for me.”
The Barcelona head coach added:
“He brings quality and intensity; we need him.”
The comments put an end to lingering summer speculation linking the 29-year-old to a move to the Saudi Pro League. Interest from clubs such as Al-Hilal had resurfaced in recent months, with reports of substantial offers, though Barcelona had previously rejected approaches and Raphinha had publicly expressed his desire to stay.
Raphinha has established himself as a key figure in Flick’s side since the German coach’s arrival, contributing goals, assists, and high-intensity performances on the wing. Despite occasional injury setbacks, the club views him as integral to their attacking plans.
The confirmation comes as Barcelona prepare for the new season, with Flick making clear that the Brazilian remains central to the team’s ambitions. The La Liga defending champions are going through major changes in the squad ahead of the upcoming season.
