The Indian men's hockey team secured a dominating 7-1 win against arch-rivals Pakistan in the reverse fixture of the FIH Pro League's London leg, showcasing a dominating display at the Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre on Friday, June 26.

India's sheer attacking display against Pakistan
India made a strong comeback after falling behind early, producing a dominant attacking display. Sukhjeet Singh (20'), Harmanpreet Singh (26') , Hardik Singh (34'), Jugraj Singh (35), Abhishek (41'), Raj Kumar Pal (44') and Dilpreet Singh (54) all found the back of the net to secure a thumping win. Hardik was given the Player of the Match award for his brilliant performance through out the game.

Pakistan managed to draw first blood, when captain Abu Bakar Mahmood converted a penalty corner in the 13th minute of the game. India reacted positively in the second quarter, moving the ball with accuracy to put Pakistan on the back seat. Sukhjeet Singh scored an equaliser by deflecting Harmanpreet Singh's drag-flick into the net before Harmanpreet himself scored a penalty corner to give India a 2-1 lead before the half-time.
Dominant performance from India
India stamped their authority in the second half, leaving Pakistan with no back into the game. Hardik made no error from the penalty stroke before Jugraj Singh capped off a rapid counter-attack with a brilliant finish. Abhishek then appeared on the scoresheet after brilliant build-up involving Sukhjeet Singh, while Raj Kumar Pal reacted fast to bury a rebound from a penalty corner and make it a 6-1.
Dilpreet Singh gave the finishing touch with a perfect goal in the 54th minute of the game. The Indian defense performed amazingly well to repel Pakistan's late penalty corner chances, sealing a dominating win over the arch-rivals.
Next challenge for India in FIH Pro League
The Indian men's hockey team will play their final game of the FIH Pro League 2025-26 season on Sunday, June 28 against England. The game will be played at the Lee Valley Hockey & Tennis Centre in London.
