Highlights:

The Emilia Romagna Grand Prix weekend runs from Friday, May 16.

European Leg starts now.

McLaren continued their dominant run in the 2025 Formula 1 season with a commanding performance at the Miami Grand Prix, held on May 4. Oscar Piastri secured his third consecutive race victory—his fourth overall of the season—cementing his status as one of the most consistent drivers on the grid this year. Lando Norris backed him up with a strong second-place finish, sealing a McLaren one-two. The Red Bull Racing driver Max Verstappen, who started from pole position, could not seize the starting advantage to his favor and eventually finished a disappointing fourth.

Being done with the Miami energy rush, F1 teams and drivers now prepare for the European leg of the calendar, which starts with the Emilia Romagna GP at the renowned circuit of Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola. This event signals the start of a first-ever triple-header in Europe this season.

This weekend is without an F1 race. After the Miami GP, the race drivers will get a brief pause until they gather at Imola for the Emilia Romagna GP.

The Emilia Romagna Grand Prix weekend runs from Friday, May 16, through Sunday, May 18. The main race is scheduled to start at 15.00 CET on Sunday, or 09.00 EST for American fans.

The race weekend is the traditional one, with two practice sessions on Friday, and a third practice and qualifying on Saturday, followed by the Grand Prix on Sunday.
