Cricket Australia has named its Best Test XI for 2025, highlighting the top performers in the longest format of the game. India’s KL Rahul was included as an opener alongside Australia’s Travis Head; both batters had stellar seasons, scoring over 800 runs each. Notably, KL Rahul was promoted as India's opener after veteran batter Rohit Sharma announced his retirement from the longest format of the game in May 2025.
However, Cricket Australia missed some notable Indian stars, including Yashasvi Jaiswal and Mohammed Siraj. Jaiswal had a brilliant outing in the five-Test match series against England, and on the other hand, Mohammed Siraj ended his campaign as the highest wicket-taker in the same series.
Notably, Australia Cricket Team are currently busy in the Ashes, where they have already sealed the series after winning the first three Test matches. However, England made a comeback by winning the fourth clash of the five-match series. The final Ashes Test will take place from January 4 to 8 in Sydney.
