Dee Devlin, the fiancée of UFC star Conor McGregor, has finally addressed the outcome of the sexual assault lawsuit involving McGregor. In a passionate statement posted to her Instagram stories, the 37-year-old slammed the accuser, Nikita Hand, after McGregor was found liable in the high-profile case.
Devlin expressed her unwavering support for McGregor after the Irish High Court ordered him to pay $257,000 in damages to Nikita Hand, who had accused the fighter of "brutal" rape and battery. On Friday, the court ruled in favor of Hand, but Devlin took to social media to defend her partner.
"Imagine a woman, with her own boyfriend and child, texting provocative pictures of herself to another woman’s man with a family and child on the way, This woman claims to know me, yet still went ahead and sent messages and pictures of herself over and over to my man? Really?," Devlin wrote in one post. She continued, questioning Hand’s actions.
Devlin didn't stop at defending McGregor, instead directing her anger at Hand’s behavior. She accused Hand of lying about her actions, including a "3-day bender" and texting excuses to her child while out partying. “Texting excuses to her own child at home where mammy is on Saturday afternoon, Saturday night, Sunday morning, Sunday afternoon, Sunday night into Monday morning,” Devlin wrote, further highlighting Hand’s alleged irresponsible actions.
Devlin went on to call out Hand for her alleged behavior in a hotel room, claiming that Hand was “dancing around a hotel car park” and out of control. “What sort of WOMAN are you!!!” Devlin exclaimed in her post. “My sons will be warned women like you exist in the world.”
CCTV Footage and Surveillance Evidence
In a more intense statement, Devlin referenced CCTV footage, suggesting that it would reveal a different side to the incident. "CCTV does not lie," she said, adding that she was looking forward to the day the world would see the footage of Hand's behavior that night.
"Not a bother of you having the time of your life," she wrote, implying that Hand was enjoying herself during the incident in question.
Devlin also suggested that surveillance footage might show a different perspective on the event, one in which Hand appeared to be the aggressor. "To me it looks like you’re the one sexually assaulting in the lift," Devlin stated. "To me it looks like everyone is trying to get away from you."
Final Defense of McGregor and Their Family
Devlin concluded her series of Instagram stories with a firm statement of support for McGregor, whom she has been in a relationship with since 2008. “We have dealt with these issues privately many years ago as should be done in a relationship and we have come out stronger than ever,” she wrote.
She emphasized the strength of their relationship and their family, mentioning their four children. "We have four beautiful children now whose smiling faces and happy hearts are a testament to who he is and who we are," Devlin stated. She ended her post with a reminder of the importance of judgment: "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."
Through her emotional defense of McGregor, Devlin made it clear that she stands by him and their family despite the ongoing controversy surrounding the case.
