Ahead of the UFC Vegas 97 Fight Night event which is set to be headlined by the Main Even bout between Gilbert Burns and Sean Brady, Middleweight fighter Dylan Budka also known as ‘The Mindless Hulk’ missed his weight by 2.5 lbs and had a really scary trip to the weighing scale, where he almost appeared to faint and was later helped off the stage. This was the clear indication that the fighter had a really bad weight cut but the reason is not clear yet. He is set to take on Andre Petroski in the preliminary card.
Budka almost collapses during weigh-in
The video of Budka's weigh-in is making a lot of buzz on the internet as he almost collapsed while standing on the scale. Fans across the globe were concerned about his health. Budka seemed to be losing his consciousness but held himself together before being helped off the stage. However, he missed the weight by 2.5 lbs and the clip of his weigh-in went viral on social media at a very rapid pace.

Budla apologises for missing weight
“I apologize to my opponent and the @ufc for my missed weight. Out of 19 fights I have never had a failed weigh in. I attempted to keep cutting, the doctors would not allow me. Fight is still on, mission is still the same. Time to get mindless,” wrote Budka from his official ‘X’ account while apologising for the weight miss. He has also been fined 20 per cent of his match fees.
Budka was not the only fighter to miss the weight, Featherweight Kyle Nelson also failed to make the sanctioned weight limit. He too was 2.5 lbs overweight. He is set to face Steve Garcia and will be fighting in the main card of the UFC Vegas 97 fight card.
