The 24-year-old boxing star secured gold in the 57kg category, building on her bronze-medal finish from the 2022 Birmingham Games.
Continuing her stellar run as one of India's most dependable pugilists, Jaismine followed up her World Championship triumph in Liverpool last year with a silver medal at the Asian Championships earlier this season.
The official ceremonial transfer of the Games to India will take place during the closing ceremony of the Glasgow Commonwealth Games at the Hydro venue.
According to an official statement, the Handover Segment will feature a three-act cultural presentation designed to highlight India's rich heritage and reflect the common bonds and values shared across the Commonwealth.
Following a medal-heavy Saturday, India experienced a quiet August 2, finishing the day without adding to their tally.

The previous day’s success was sparked by Preeti Pawar, who kicked off a golden streak with a flawless 5-0 victory over Canada’s Scarlett Delgado in the women’s 54kg final. Jaismine Lamboria duplicated that dominance shortly after, outpointing defending champion Michaela Walsh of Northern Ireland 5-0 to claim the 57kg title.
In a tightly contested opening round, Jaismine narrowly secured a split-decision lead despite aggressive exchanges from both fighters. She then asserted full dominance in the second round, sweeping all judges' scorecards with a barrage of precise, heavy strikes.
Ultimately, India’s boxing contingent capped off a legendary Commonwealth Games campaign, delivering their finest performance to date with an unprecedented 10 medals—comprising seven gold and three silver.
