Gujarat Giants clinched the Season 2 championship of the Ultimate Kho Kho League by defeating Chennai Quick Guns in the final of the tournament at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Cuttack on January 13. The Giants secured their victory with a score of 31-26, asserting their dominance from the beginning.

 

“We are delighted to top Season 2 of the Ultimate Kho Kho League. The team performed brilliantly throughout the season and the win is a testament to the efforts behind the scenes by the Adani Sportsline team,” said captain Akshay Bhangare.

 

Gujarat Giants displayed captivating performance throughout the tournament, emerging as one of the most entertaining teams in the competition. The team secured the third position in the league stage with 21 points and a score difference of 55, having won six games, drawn a couple, and experienced some losses.

 

In the semi-final match, Gujarat Giants faced the home team Odisha Juggernauts, and secured a narrow victory with a score of 29-27, earning their place in the final.

 

 

“This is a fantastic achievement for Gujarat Giants. Winning the Ultimate Kho Kho League title wasn’t easy. The team functioned like a family, and the result showed in the way they played,” said coach Sanjeev Sharma.
