The ongoing feud between Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes took a dramatic turn during WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event 2024. After successfully defending his title in a brutal match, Rhodes was unexpectedly attacked by Owens, who delivered a devastating Package Piledriver, leaving the American Nightmare motionless in the ring. This shocking moment set the stage for further drama, as Owens grabbed the Winged Eagle Championship and stormed backstage.

Triple H, WWE's Chief Content Officer, was furious after Owens’ actions, leading to a heated confrontation on the ramp. The Game confronted Owens, even pushing the 40-year-old superstar in the heat of the moment. This altercation sparked speculation among fans about what consequences Owens might face next, particularly regarding his future with the company.

One of the most plausible scenarios involves Triple H potentially firing Owens due to his disrespectful behavior and the injury he caused to two major stars. The tension between Owens and the higher-ups in WWE could reach a boiling point, with Owens facing severe repercussions for his actions.

Could The Rock Intervene to Save Kevin Owens?

In an unexpected twist, WWE legend The Rock, who now serves as a Board Member of TKO Group, could step in to prevent Owens' firing. As a powerful figure within the company, The Rock could exercise his veto power to overrule Triple H’s decision and save Owens from dismissal. This potential intervention could also see The Rock play a pivotal role in a larger storyline between the two WWE icons.

The tension between The Rock and Triple H was already building during the WrestleMania XL press conference, where The Rock appeared to challenge Triple H’s authority. The escalation of these tensions could lead to a major storyline where The Rock takes a stand against Triple H, ultimately saving Owens and preserving the Winged Eagle Championship for the Prizefighter.

Speculation on The Rock's Role: Could He Take Down Triple H?

While this scenario remains speculative, there has been increasing chatter about The Rock’s involvement in WWE's corporate decisions. Former WWE star Jonathan Coachman weighed in on the situation, suggesting that The Rock might misuse his power as a Board Member of TKO Group to oust Triple H.

Coachman explained during an appearance on The Coach and Bro Wrestling Show on Backstage Pass:

"I want fans to just look back over the last eight months and look at the documentary that came out after WrestleMania. It was delayed too much because The Rock had to have full editing control, and I love him. My relationship with The Rock is a friendly talent relationship. It's not 'I am an executive. I'm sitting in a boardroom with him.' I think because of all the brands he has built, he can be ruthless. It’s Rock first, his company first, and then everybody else second. He won’t blink an eye at steamrolling Triple H straight out of the building if this means they can head that way."

This insight suggests that The Rock's priorities might align with his own brand and career over WWE's internal power struggles. If he chooses to step in, it could set the stage for a fierce showdown with Triple H.
