India's Suhas Yathiraj, Pramod Bhagat, and Krishna Nagar ended their remarkable performance by clinching gold medals in the men's singles SL4, SL3, and SH6 classes, respectively, at the Para-Badminton World Championship in Pattaya, Thailand, on February 25.
The third-ranked player in the world, Yathiraj, who is a Paralympic silver medalist, defeated Indonesia's Fredy Setiawan 21-18 21-18 in the SL4 final to secure his first-ever world title.
"Gold it is, Happy and proud to be World Champion," the 40-year-old Yathiraj tweeted. He is from Karnataka and is an IAS officer of the 2007 batch belonging to the Uttar Pradesh cadre. Presently, he holds the position of Secretary and Director General of Youth Welfare and Prantiya Rakshak Dal in the Uttar Pradesh government.

Pramod Bhagat clinches 3rd consecutive title
The 35-year-old Pramod Bhagat secured a gold and two bronze medals at the Para Asian Games in China by defeating England's Daniel Bethell 14-21 21-15 21-14 in the SL3 final.
A Paralympic gold medalist, Bhagat has now achieved a hat-trick of titles following victories at Stoke Mandeville in 2015 and Basel in 2019. He also clinched a gold medal at the 2022 Tokyo Paralympics.
Krishna Nagar Dominates SH6 Category
In the SH6 category, Krishna Nagar, a Paralympic gold medalist, emerged as the champion by thrashing China's Lin Naili 22-20 22-20 in another men's singles final.

Meanwhile, in the SU5 singles, Manisha Ramadass secured a silver medal after a 16-21 16-21 loss to China's Yang Qiu Xia in the final match.
As for the doubles events, the men's duo of Chirag Baretha and Raj Kumar, and the women's pairing of Rachana Shaileshkumar and Nithya Sre Sumathy Sivan, both settled for silver medals after losing their respective final matches in the SU5 and SH6 categories.
The singles event consisted of a draw of 16 players, while the doubles event featured 8 pairs.
