Daniel Cormier Recalls Instance of Acrimony with Jon Jones
Daniel Cormier recalled the time when he and Jon were having a back-and-forth and suddenly, he took a gaze at his publicist, telling her that he felt pity about her because she had "the worst job in history." He revealed that his words made Jon fume in anger.
“One time Jon and I were arguing, and I looked at his publicist and I pointed to her. ‘You have the worst job in history; I feel sorry for you! I feel sorry you’re tasked with trying to keep this psychopath under control!” Cormier said. “And [Jon] was sitting there, so mad at me. The one thing about Jon, Jon isn’t the best with his words…he just wanted to kill me.

Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier's rivalry will go down in the history books. It was so intense that the two could stand the sight of each other at one point. However, over time both the UFC stalwarts have mellowed down and have also shared pleasantries in the recent past, showcasing mutual respect. Nevertheless, with them, it is always doubtful, one could never know when a heated moment between the two would arise.
Daniel Cormier has become an established broadcaster since hanging up his gloves. Jon Jones on the other hand is still active and aptly transitioned into a Heavyweight fighter. He holds the UFC Heavyweight Championship currently and will likely put his title on the line against Tom Aspinall next.
