Lewis Hamilton’s beloved dog Roscoe passes away
The Formula One star earlier updated his fans about the dog’s health and stated that he was not sure if Roscoe would wake up again after falling into a coma. The Mercedes driver, as he confirmed the devastating news, wrote on his social media account:
"After four days on life support, fighting with every bit of strength he had, I had to make the hardest decision of my life and say goodbye to Roscoe.”
Hamilton continued:
"He never stopped fighting, right until the very end. I feel so grateful and honoured to have shared my life with such a beautiful soul, an angel and true friend.”
The former Mercedes driver wrote that meeting Roscoe was the “best decision” of his life, which he has previously admitted to. The F1 legend stated that he would “forever cherish the memories” Roscoe and he had made together.
Hamilton explained the feeling as the “most painful experience” and wrote that he can feel a “deep connection” with those who have also lost their pets. Hamilton wrote on his social media that to love Roscoe and to be loved in return has been one of the “most beautiful parts of life”, and he is now going through a hard time.
As per Hamilton, Roscoe took his last breath on “Sunday evening, 28th September” and the 40-year-old was lucky enough to take him in his arms during the dog’s last moments. The British racing driver also thanked all the supporters for all the support they have shown to Roscoe calling the experience “special.”
