"In the past day, I had to make some tough decisions after sustaining a meniscus tear during my last match. I’m still processing it all but I am happy to update you that the surgery went well," Djokovic's post read.

"I am so appreciative of the team of doctors who have been by my side, as well as the overwhelming support I have received from my fans. Wimbledon in Doubt, Olympics a Possibility for Djokovic

Novak Djokovic's quest for a record-breaking 25th Grand Slam title at Wimbledon faces uncertainty.  Reports suggest his knee surgery will require a three-week recovery, putting his participation in the tournament (July 1-14) in serious jeopardy. However, there's a glimmer of hope for the Serbian champion. The men's singles event at the Paris Olympics (July 27-August 4) might be more attainable. This timeframe could potentially allow Djokovic sufficient recovery time to compete. Adding to the Serbian's woes, his withdrawal from the French Open saw him lose his World No. 1 ranking to Jannik Sinner, who reached the tournament's semi-final.
