The Laver Cup 2024 will be the seventh edition of the tournament. It will be held in Berlin Germany from September 22-24. Interestingly players are divided into two teams, with Team Europe against Team World. Europe will be led by Bjorn Borg while John McEnroe will lead Team World. This is the last year that Borg and McEnroe will compete as captains.
The duo will be replaced by Yannick Noah and Andre Agassi from next year. The current edition of the Laver Cup will witness a star-studded line-up with some of the biggest names of the sport featured.
Team Europe
Rafael Nadal will be a part of the Europe team joined by the ace youngster Carlos Alcaraz. The likes of Alexander Zverev, Daniil Medvedev and Casper Ruud will be a part of the Europe team. The sixth and final member of the team is Stefanos Tsitsipas.
Team World
The team World has the US Open finalist Taylor Fritz. Along with him are Ben Shelton, Tommy Paul, Frances Tiafoe, Alex de Minaur, and Alejandro Tabila in the team.

End of Rafa's career?
The talks around the legendary tennis star Rafael Nadal's retirement from the Laver Cup have been going around the corner. Roger Federer did the same and Nadal could follow in his footsteps.
Noah shared his thoughts on becoming Team Europe Captain for Laver Cup in 2025.
“I am truly honoured to have been asked to take on the role as Team Europe Captain for the Laver Cup,” said Noah. “I’ve been out of the game for a while, doing my music, but I am really excited for this new adventure. I love team competitions, the emotions they bring, getting to know the guys, how they are on and off the court as people. It will be great. I also can’t wait to see Andre again after a couple of decades and to face him on the other side. I might have mellowed a bit now, but the competitive side of me is alive forever. I want Team Europe to win!," said Noah.
Agassi also expressed his happiness on being announced as captain next year.
“I am truly honored to accept the invitation to become the Laver Cup Team World Captain,” said Agassi, who will attend this year’s event in Berlin to prepare for his new role and be formally introduced as the next Team World Captain. In just seven short years since the Laver Cup began, it’s been so enjoyable for fans, including myself, to watch the greats of the game team up and compete against one another in this incredible team environment. The competitive level of the Laver Cup is off the charts and it’s easy to see why. You’re there with the team, your peers, guys you respect and everybody has a responsibility. For me the key will be understanding and managing the players’ needs throughout the year and really getting to know them so that I can select the matchups to give us the best chance to get wins on the board and bring home the Laver Cup. I hope I can build the rapport, respect and trust with the players as John has done and I can’t wait to take on this role, it’s not one I’m taking lightly,” said Agassi.
