Carlos Alcaraz beat Alexander Zverev on Friday in the semifinal clash of the Australian Open. The Spanish got off to a brilliant start, securing the first two sets.

However, the 22-year-old faced some issues with his right leg towards the end of the third set and required a medical timeout. Alcaraz managed to claim a 6-4, 7-6(5), 6-7(3), 6-7(4), 7-5 win.
In his post-match press conference, Alcaraz threw :
some light on his health:
“Well, obviously I feel tired. You know, obviously my body could be better to be honest, but I think that's normal after 5 and a half hours. So I just did whatever it takes just to try to be better or to feel better tomorrow. Ice bath, you know, I'm going to have treatment with the physio, at night.”
He said he expects some muscle soreness leading up to the final.
“It's not going to be nothing. I think the muscles are going to be tight and I just got to be, you know, as good as I can be for the final.”
Sunday's final will be Alcaraz first at the Australian Open. A win would make him the youngest player in the history to complete the Career Grand Slam, breaking Rafael Nadal's mark.
