Iga Swiatek keeps stunning everyone with her performances and records. The Polish star has now made another record of winning 60 matches in four consecutive years this century.
Iga Swiatek’s unique record after her Wuhan Open opener win
The No. 2 WTA-ranked player is now the first player in women’s tennis to claim 60 or more matches where she has won 67 games in 2022, 68 in 2023 and 64 in 2024.
In addition to the aforementioned record, Poland’s sensational player is also the only player, both male or female, to have won 60 or more matches in each of the last four years from 2022 to 2025.
Swiatek recently defeated Marie Bouzkova in the opening match of the WTA 1000 tournament where she beat the Czech player with a score of 6-1, 6-1. The six-time Grand Slam champion had a first-round bye in Wuhan before she played the 41st-ranked player and broke her three times to easily win the first set.

The Pole played clinically in the second set as well and recorded three additional breaks to dominate the opponent completely. Swiatek lost just two games before claiming the victory to her name.
Swiatek is now waiting for the winner between No. 13 seed Belinda Bencic and Elise Mertens to play in the round of 16 of the Chinese tournament. The top-seeded star was defeated by Emma Navarro recently at the China Open in three sets in the round of 16 of the match.
Following the major upset, it was Navarro’s fourth career win over a top-five opponent. It is to be seen how the Polish professional performs in this tournament, amid the hot and humid conditions that players are going through.
