AJ Lee once again came back to WWE on Monday Night RAW tonight in Cleveland, and got involved in a heated exchange with her rival Becky Lynch. The two continued to take shots at each other before The Black Widow challenged Becky Lynch for her Intercontinental Championship match at Elimination Chamber PLE on February 28, 2026.
Big change in AJ Lee's opponent at WrestleMania 42
A hesitant Becky Lynch agreed to the challenge, saying that she would defeat the Geek Godess in their fight. However, the booking of this fight was quite shocking, as it was expected that the two rivals would give an end to their story at WrestleMania 42.
If AJ Lee faces Becky Lynch at Elimination CHamber, who will she face at WrestleMania? AJ Lee's WrestleMania 42 is already ready, and it is none other than Becky Lynch.
As per Dave Meltzer, the final battle will take place at Mania with the fight at Elimination Chamber only being announced. Either this match could be postponed, or some change could take place in this booking so that Becky and AJ Lee's one-on-one clash happens at WrestleMania only.
"I was expecting this match at Mania, but I was told there's a reason it's here and the story goes until Mania. I go like, 'Oh I thought this was going to be at Mania.' And it's like, 'Don't worry, it all plays out to get there.' Whatever this plan is today probably won't be changed. This week, maybe next week, who knows?" Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio.
The two stars who could be a catalyst in the change of booking could be Natalya and Maxxine Dupri. These two stars also locked in a toxic rivalry since the January 5 2025 edition of WWE RAW. when Nattie shockingly turned on her student, Maxxine Dupri, during the title fight against Becky Lynch.
Next week on RAW, the fans could be shocked by the change in plans for the fight at Elimination Chamber PLE.
