Story Highlights:

Andrade’s second WWE stint ends after disciplinary concerns surface at a TV shoot.

Planned appearances, including a match at Clash in Paris, were canceled following the incident.

Wrestling world was taken by surprise when news broke that Andrade had been released from WWE once again. Initially viewed as a quiet departure, new details now suggest there was more behind the decision than fans first realized.

Andrade’s second WWE stint ends abruptly

Andrade’s second run with WWE began in dramatic fashion when he returned as a surprise entrant at the 2024 Royal Rumble. The former NXT Champion quickly found himself in storylines involving Dominick and Rey Mysterio, while also capturing the WWE Speed Championship in June. Despite momentum, his comeback lasted just over a year before his name was shifted to WWE’s alumni section.

WWE had initially lined him up for a match at Clash in Paris, with reports indicating he was set to team with Rey Fenix against members of The Wyatt Sicks. However, those plans were scrapped and Andrade never appeared on the card.

Insider reveals discipline was behind WWE’s decision

According to respected wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer, Andrade’s release was not performance-related but tied to disciplinary reasons. Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer explained:

“I’ve seen all the speculation everywhere, and I don’t know the whole story, but I do know it was a discipline thing. A couple of weeks ago, there was a disciplinary thing, and all I know is it was at a TV shoot, and he was told to go home, and he’s not been used since.”

Importantly, Meltzer clarified that Andrade’s release was not related to drugs, alcohol, or personal issues, despite fan speculation.

“Nobody would tell me what it was, but it was enough to be sent home,” he added.

Missed opportunities and abandoned plans

Beyond the Clash in Paris cancellation, WWE had also hoped to use Andrade in “the AAA project,” according to Meltzer, though those plans never materialized. His exit left a noticeable gap in WWE’s creative direction, forcing the company to adjust its storyline strategy at short notice.

A career of highs and sudden stops

This marks the second time Andrade has departed WWE. His first tenure, spanning 2015 to 2021, saw him rise to prominence by winning both the NXT Championship and the United States Championship. After leaving, he joined AEW, where he wrestled until 2023, before making his surprise WWE return in 2024.

Despite his undeniable talent, Andrade’s WWE journey has once again ended abruptly, leaving fans wondering where he will showcase his skills next.
