Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf and opener Sahibzada Farhan have landed in hot water for their provocative gestures in the T20 Asia Cup 2025 Super Four clash against India at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on September 21. India have fined an official complaint with the International Cricket Council (ICC) and demanded a strict against the two cricketers.
Farhan pulled out the gun celebration after reaching his half-century. However, his innings went downhill after getting to the milestone. He struggled to find boundaries or rotate strike and departed for a 45-ball 58. He failed to accelerate in the latter half of Pakistan’s innings.
While defending a total of 171, Rauf was not up to the mark with the new ball as he was hammered by Indian openers Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma. The pacer had a heated exchange with the two openers. Later, while fielding on the boundary, he made gestures to the crowd that were provocative in nature. Believing the false propaganda peddled by Pakistan government and media, Rauf still believes that the terrorist-aiding nation Pakistan had the upper hand over India in the military conflict.
Like Farhan, Rauf could not win the game for his team either. He got consolation wickets of India captain Suryakumar Yadav and wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson. India chased down the target of 172 with six wickets in hand and seven balls to spare. This is India’s seventh consecutive win over Pakistan in international cricket.
