In a series of shocking events, it has been reported that star India all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been ruled out of the upcoming ODI series against England, as he is able to prove his fitness. The star all-rounder could not bowl the full quota of 10 overs.

Big update on Hardik Pandya's injury

Sports Tak has learnt that Mumbai Indians skipper has failed to achieve full match fitness, as he is not able to full quota of overs and will miss the three-match ODI series against England. For those unaware, Hardik had to miss the ongoing ODI series against Afghanistan because of a quadriceps strain. In the preparations of the home ODI series, the star player spent a week training at the BCCI's Centre of Excellence and became fit to deliver a complete spell of 10 overs.

However, just hours before his scheduled departure from Bengaluru, he again felt discomfort in the same area, which made him miss the ongoing series.

India will tour England for five T20Is and three ODIs, starting from July 1. The first T20I will be played at the Riverside Ground in Chester-Le-Street. Meanwhile, the last game of the T20I series will be played on July 11 at the Utilita Bowl in Southampton.

Following the T20Is, the teams transition to a key three-game ODI series, which is very crucial in terms of the preparation of the ICC ODI Cricket World Cup 2027.
